Service description
What portslie provides in which plan. This description is part of the contract (Terms § 2); the version applicable at the time the contract is concluded is decisive.

Prices are final prices; as a small business under § 19 UStG, we do not charge VAT. You set the check interval per target; it cannot be faster than the plan allows.
How checks work
Each check tests three levels in succession and records the highest one reached:
- Port — the service accepts a connection at the address entered.
- Protocol — the service answers the same query that a game client or browser also sends.
- Content — the response is plausible, for example configured slots, a reported version or, for websites, a status code and a text you specify.
Which services portslie can check and what counts as plausible for each check type is listed under Check types; all check types are available in all plans.
Checks are performed from at least one of our probe locations in the European Union. If more than one location checks, an outage only counts once the majority sees it.
Incidents and alerts
- An incident starts when two consecutive checks are below level 3 and ends when level 3 is reached again. Start, end and duration are shown in the history.
- What is reported is the change: one message on an outage, one on recovery, and a further one if things get worse during the incident. To protect the recipients, an alert channel sends at most 20 messages per hour.
- Types of alert channels: email, Discord, Telegram, Slack, Microsoft Teams, ntfy and custom webhooks (JSON, signed). You can test each alert channel with a test message.
Status page
You can show selected targets on a public status page under a portslie address and determine the title, texts, colours and logo yourself. In the Small and Large plans, you can connect a custom domain via two DNS records; the TLS certificate for it is issued automatically. When the paid plan ends, the custom domain is switched off. The status page shows the status of the selected targets and their history at most to the extent of your plan's history.
Account, export, deletion
- Sign-in with email and password, optionally with a second factor (authenticator app).
- Export of all your data as a JSON file under Account, at any time and free of charge (Terms § 9); the structure of the file is described under Export format, the locations of the technology under Infrastructure.
- Deletion of the account under Account; the data is deleted immediately and remains in backups for at most four weeks (Terms § 9.3). If a paid plan is still running, terminate it first (Terms § 5.2).
What is not included
- A look inside the server: portslie only measures from the outside, no tick rate, no resource timings, no agent.
- A guaranteed availability of portslie in percent (Terms § 2.4).
- Interventions in your servers, restarts or backups.
